NK Recycling has a Dutch, but also large foreign network for processing scrap metal, steel and scrap iron. Ultimate purpose is to process this type of waste into raw material for new applications.
Metal recycling helps to save energy!
The recycling of scrap, scrap iron and metal will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and uses less energy than processing the original raw material. For example the amount of energy saved using recycled materials compared to the original raw material:
• 92% reduction in the processing of aluminum
• 90% reduction in the processing of copper
• 56% reduction in the processing of steel
Metal recycling to conserve natural resources
Metal Recycling also helps to conserve natural resources. The processing of one tonne steel saves 1,100 kilograms of iron ore, coal and 635 kg 55 kg limestone. Recycling aluminum saves 8 tonnes of bauxite ore and 14 megawatt hours of electricity.
