Plastic / Carbon
The recycling of plastic, a matter of sorting
The question about whether or not a product can be recycled remains a specialization. Especially regarding plastic waste recycling remains difficult and could confuse. Therefore, all types of plastic can be categorized based on it’s specifics, because every type of plastic requires a different treatment.
Easy to handle plastics
The easiest and most common plastics to recycle are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
Examples include soda and water bottles, medicine boxes, and many other similar consumer products. Once the plastic is processed, it is used as a raw material for winter coats, sleeping bags, life jackets and so on.
But it can also be used in bean bags, ropes, car bumpers, tennis balls, lining, combs, CD / DVD cases, sails for boats, furniture and, of course, other plastic bottles.
Difficult to process plastics
Unfortunately, there are also types of plastic which are less easy to recycle. This is due to the composition of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The following products may consist of this component: plastic pipes, shower curtains, medical tubing, vinyl dashboards, baby bottle caps. Also packaging film, shopping bags, bread bags, Tupperware boxes, etc. are difficult because of the low-density polyethylene process.
